In spirit of throw back Thursday, I was inspired to google some vintage bondage images. I must say, they are doing it right. Fuck the theatrics of fancy whips, leather hoods, and other modern mainstream restraint systems. The power of the dominant party was simply based on their dominant presence. Sure they still had their way of restraining and striking their subbie, but it wasn't all glitzy. Hairbrushes, plain rope, medical tape, a dining room chair...that's all you really needed. Imagination was put to the test. It's not like they could go to a hip S&M store and pick up the newest paddles and ball gags. No no. It was much more basic and primal. A true testimate of power based on ones presence.
This is what I LOVE about
domination. Anyone can buy a bondage kit and pretend, but it takes a real dominating bitch to be able to strike fear and compliance into another person with pure presence. It takes a woman in true control to be able to own another human without the fancy theatrical bullshit. She not only owns them in the bedroom, but commands the same standard of respect in the street.
